At Capisco we work with a variety of clients providing expert brass restoration advice and services.

Understanding ‘Bronze Restoration’

Bronze restoration is the re-application of any patination on bronze/brass/copper metals.

Why do metals require restoration?

With a good maintenance plan most metals will require very little ‘restoration’ over time.

Metals react to local ground conditions and may become damaged overtime -particularly in high traffic areas. In cases of severe damage to the facade (I.e green spots, vandalism, public urination, water damage, scuffs - etc)

Capisco can offer a full re-patination service onsite. This is a more invasive treatment than ‘maintenance’, requiring the metal to be cleaned back to raw brass and ‘re-patinated’.

Most of the time to provide an even finish the damage cannot be ‘spot-cleaned’ so the entire metal area will require patination for full cohesion.
